My latest fave spot is the newly opened (as of September 6, 2021) flagship location of Kettl, in Greenpoint Brooklyn, adjacent to Đi Ăn Đi.
This space combines the functionality of Kettl’s original Ainslie St upstairs tea hideaway, showcasing their high quality imported Japanese tea and gorgeous in-house ceramics, with that of their Bowery Market window, serving a range of tea drinks plus lattes and gelato, both offered in the matcha, houjicha, soba flavor triumvirate.

You’ll find these familiar offerings at the to-go cafe area in the front (which also sports a to-go window on Greenpoint Ave), while a back tasting counter offers two wide-ranging set menus with choices of desserts and drinks.
I love the sparse design, attention to detail, and enthusiasm and energy of the place.
